I grew up in a small northern MN town, but now live near the Twin cities with my 2 young girls (Eliza-7 & Ellie-4) and my husband Dan.  We love traveling, mostly in the US for now, but would love to get the girls on an international trip soon. I also love to read and run around with my kiddos. They keep me busy with all their activities.

 

 In 2008 I graduated from College of St Benedict/St John’s University with my BS in Accounting. From there I started my career at a small (at the time) rapid manufacturing company called Proto Labs. There I was part of the accounting team that helped take the company public.  I also was fortunate enough to work on integrating acquisitions. After around 7 years I managed to make my way into a financial systems manager role.  I realized I enjoyed making systems and processes more efficient and taping into capabilities we previously did not explore. Working closely with the development team to roll out system improvement and eventually work on a cross functional team to implement D365.  My time ended when I no longer aligned with the vision and execution of the projects and landed at a company called Compute North, a startup company in the data center space, whose primary customers were in cryptocurrency. My job was the full accounting and financial analysis function. I implemented a new ERP system for the company while closing the books and working with executives. Later implementing other software and working with development on connecting internally built platform with the ERP.  Eventually landing again in a financial systems manager role. Ultimately that company failed due to the Crypto Winter and energy pricing. Just within the last few months I began working at a green energy company (Intersect Power) as their Financial System Administrator, this time under IT.
